What is MagicboxGPT?
MagicboxGPT is a personal document and life-admin assistant for busy people in India. Forward any bill, ticket, policy, screenshot or statement on WhatsApp — it reads the document, files it in the right place, and hands it back the moment you ask, so nothing is lost and nothing important slips through.
How does it work?
Just forward it, or snap a photo. MagicboxGPT understands what the document is — a receipt, a boarding pass, an insurance policy, a school circular — files it automatically, and answers plain questions like “what’s my policy number?” or “show me last month’s bills” in seconds, with the original attached.
Does MagicboxGPT just store my documents, or does it do the work?
It does the work. MagicboxGPT reads what’s inside each document and handles the admin it creates: it files and categorises a pile of receipts into a submit-ready Excel expense sheet, turns a trip’s tickets, hotels and cabs into a claim-ready itinerary you can add to your calendar, and sets a reminder before a bill or policy is due. Storing the file is just the first step.
Do I need to download an app?
No. It works entirely on WhatsApp — the app you already use all day. Say “hi” on WhatsApp and start forwarding. You can also use email, or the web app, if you prefer.
What are the different ways I can send to MagicboxGPT?
Three ways, all landing in the same private Magicbox: WhatsApp — forward anything, snap a photo, or send a voice note; email — forward to your private inbox address; and the web app — drag and drop files from your laptop.
Does MagicboxGPT support email?
Yes. Every account gets a private email address — forward or CC any bill, ticket, policy or statement to it and MagicboxGPT files it exactly like a WhatsApp forward.
Is it free? What does it cost?
Completely free. MagicboxGPT is in free public beta — everything is free to use right now: forward as much as you like, ask anything, and get your expense sheets and trip calendars, at no cost.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. Your documents are yours alone — private to your account, never sold, and we never spam you or make sales calls. You stay in control of everything you send.
Does MagicboxGPT read my WhatsApp messages and emails?
No. MagicboxGPT only ever sees the documents you choose to forward to it — it does not read your WhatsApp chats, your contacts, or your email inbox, and nothing is scanned or accessed in the background. You decide exactly what to send, one forward at a time.
Can MagicboxGPT monitor my emails from MakeMyTrip and others?
No — MagicboxGPT never connects to or scans your inbox; your email stays private. If you’d like certain confirmations to arrive on their own, you can set a simple auto-forward rule (for example, forward MakeMyTrip or your airline’s emails to your Magicbox address) so those land automatically while everything else stays untouched.
Is my information going into an LLM?
MagicboxGPT uses AI to read and understand your documents — that’s how it files them and answers your questions. But your documents are private to you, are never sold, and are never used to train AI models. The AI works only for you, on what you send.
Will MagicboxGPT hallucinate?
We design hard against it. MagicboxGPT answers from your actual documents and attaches the source so you can verify, and when it doesn’t have something it tells you plainly instead of making it up. Facts like trip totals and dates are computed from your bookings, not generated.
How accurate is MagicboxGPT?
Very — because it reads the real document rather than guessing. It captures details straight from what you send, always shows you the original to check against, and lets you correct anything in a message. On money and travel especially, it only ever states what’s actually on the document.
What can I forward to it?
Almost anything you’ll need again later: bills, receipts, tickets, boarding passes, hotel and travel bookings, insurance policies, IDs, school circulars, medical reports, warranties and bank statements. Photos, PDFs and screenshots all work.
How do I get an Excel of my expenses?
Just ask — “my expenses for July as Excel” — or tap export in the web app. MagicboxGPT builds a clean spreadsheet of your expenses (by month or by trip) with every receipt accounted for, ready to download or submit.
I have multiple family members. Does MagicboxGPT support families?
Yes — it’s built for busy families. Forward everyone’s documents to one shared Magicbox and it keeps each person’s and each category’s paperwork organised, so the whole household shares one reliable memory instead of ten scattered inboxes.
How does MagicboxGPT help me with travel planning?
Forward your bookings and MagicboxGPT assembles the whole trip — flights, hotels and transfers — into one itinerary. It pulls up any boarding pass or booking the second you need it, flags gaps like a night with no hotel booked, and can add the entire trip to your calendar in one tap.
Is MagicboxGPT integrated with accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks?
Not with a direct plug-in today. MagicboxGPT keeps your bills and invoices organised and hands you a clean Excel or PDF export that you — or your accountant — can drop into Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks. Direct integrations are on our roadmap; tell us which one you use and we’ll prioritise it.
How is it different from Google Drive, Notes or ChatGPT?
Drive and Notes store files but don’t understand them — you still hunt. A chatbot can talk but doesn’t keep your paperwork. MagicboxGPT does both: it reads every document, files it for you, reminds you before deadlines, and answers in plain language — right inside WhatsApp.
Who’s behind MagicboxGPT?
It’s built in India by a small team of ex-Google and Amazon engineers, for the way Indian families and businesses actually deal with paperwork.
Does it work for my whole family or team?
Yes — everyone can forward to one place, and MagicboxGPT keeps each person’s and each category’s paperwork organised, so the household or the team share one memory instead of ten scattered inboxes.
Can it remind me before bills and renewals are due?
Yes. When a document has a due date — a bill, a policy renewal, a licence — MagicboxGPT surfaces it before it lapses, so a deadline never sneaks up on you.
